Description
This gnome (in picture) has somehow now befriended a pet gargoyle and now walks him daily like a pet dog or kitty! By the chosen path of exercise in a very lunar kind of a landscape is a tossed away list of "Things To Do" about walking the pet and ending a Bucket List among other things too. The strange hoodoos of rock outcrops and other unfamiliar features as is in a barren landscape here and with a moon over head finishes the completed scene as the figure of the large headed gnome in it tries to parade across it with a stubborn yet unmoved and unwilling to Gothic fashioned gargoyle. Done all with a popularly available Stabillo .04 dark inked pen in about 1 day as an art demo feature at The Artfull Garden store in Hillsboro, Oregon one Tuesday night in the 1st 2 weeks of June, 2011.

This one reminds me of when I was about 9 or 10 years old and one of my chores was to walk our huge boxer. Trying to get him to move when he did not want to is pictured above.

These special weird hoodoos of unfamiliar strange rock formations, piles of alien form like stone posts, unusual erosion of an evidence and unearthly table land features balancing not human and unwieldy sized large boulders - all these kinds of specialized depictions of things and more definitely do come from an art style of a kind of a background. It is from my survey too of the available books in libraries and my own collection of Tibetan and Far Eastern arts wherein typical illustrations are a usual part of the fantastic techniques of the fabulous remote Kingdom style arts that go into the very sophisticated sorts of mandalas and ritualistic arts as items of use among other things common with it too! A recent art expert and arts creator I can mention named Robert Beer is another favorite artist of mine with some of these type of portrayals of such that I have found in some examples of publication in the past few years of it too. But there are many examples to be found if you follow them as well? I know I do. ENJOY! - BP

I have sold 2 copies of this immediately after finishing it in about a week! My 1st customer was Kay Mattson, owner of The Artfull Garden store who let me make it at that shop and the 2nd was my avid art fan (a former Aloha High School colleague) Joel Ediger who always takes good interests in my latest achievements too. Thanks friends and other people who visited TAG store on that art demo production night!
